(1) FEES FOR USE.—(a) The Division of Recreation and Parks shall have the power to charge reasonable fees, rentals, or charges for the use or operation of facilities and concessions in state parks. All such fees, rentals, and charges so collected must be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of “State Park Trust Fund,” which is hereby created, the continuing balance of which fund is hereby appropriated to be expended by the division for the administration, improvement, and maintenance of state parks and for the acquisition and development of lands hereafter acquired for state park purposes. The appropriation of the fund shall be continuing and may not revert to the General Revenue Fund at the end of any fiscal year or at any other time but shall, until expended, be continually available to the division for the uses and purposes set forth.
(b) Any moneys received in trust by the division by gift, devise, appropriation, or otherwise shall, subject to the terms of such trust, be deposited with the Chief Financial Officer in a fund to be known as the “State Park Trust Fund,” and shall be subject to withdrawal upon application of the division for expenditure or investment in accordance with the terms of the trust. Unless prohibited by the terms of the trust by which the moneys are derived, all such moneys may be invested as provided by law.
(2) RESERVATIONS.—(a) The Division of Recreation and Parks shall allow individuals to make reservations for state park cabins and campsites, including sites for RV, tent, boat, and equestrian camping, as follows:1. For Florida residents, reservations up to 11 months in advance; and
2. For nonresidents, reservations up to 10 months in advance.
(b) A Florida resident who wishes to book a state park cabin or campsite more than 10 months in advance must provide his or her valid Florida driver license number or the identification number from a Florida identification card issued under s. 322.051 as proof of Florida residency when making a reservation.
